Yesterday was one of those day I'm reminded about how short this life we're living is. I have been away for some weeks on an assignment, I got back and I entered the compound to greet my neighbor as usual and ask about his family and work. In his word he said "my wife is late ooo" what!!! I exclaimed, one part of me was asking could this man telling me the truth and another part was like he couldn't be joking with such a serious matter.
What happened? As I asked about the cause of her death, he told me she had sore throat, that she couldn't swallow her saliva well (perhaps it resulted into other complications, I can't say), she had also taken some medication to treat the ailment, he also narrated how he was with the wife in the middle of the night and she was breathing heavily, he never knew her soul was departing, he even told her to re-adjust from her sleeping position as he went to the toilet to urinate, only for him to come back and saw that saliva was coming out from her mouth as she gave up the ghost.
Goose pimples covered every part of my body like someone who had just taken a cold shower. This was someone I saw few weeks back and you are telling me she's no more, I felt so sad inside of me because this is a family that have gone through a lot and through the thick and the thin they are still together, the husband continued to stressed how the wife has been a source of encouragement for him and the family, in some hopeless situation she always gave him hope, how she took proper care of their three children whom she had left behind, even the survival of the family in this economic situation have been with the support of his wife.
Now she's no more, I'm not a member of their family, I'm not even anyway near their blood line, but touch me so deep as I'm been reminded how short this life is, we had had some misunderstanding few weeks back, I was furious at first but I calmed down and it didn't matter who was right or wrong, we were able to reconcile and move on.
I'm saying all of these because life is too short, forgive as fast as you can, don't hold grudge with anyone, it's amazing how everything will fade away if one party is no more. Focus on your assignment here on earth, help more people as far as your strength can carry, no time, life is too short. If we can take a look back at the last decade of our lives it will be just like a flash, and so will be the next decade and the next and the next. Whatever you have to do, do it quick because life is too short.
I was in church today and during the service, the Pastor still stressed that we should always be grateful to God because not everyone that goes to bed at night make it to the break of the dawn. Always be grateful to God for life and let more souls be drawn into his kingdom through you because LIFE IS TOO SHORT.

A Whole New Thankful Chapter
Heavenly father I bless you for this wonderful day. A day set aside
to be really grateful for great and mighty things you have done in my
life, from when I was a little boy to this present moment, it has been
God.
If there is one thing everyone would be grateful to God for after life is Divine PROTECTION. I look back at my life, I feel tears roll down my cheek and all I can say is it's been you LORD.
I remember when I got knocked down by a vehicle when I was 10years old, I remember so many trips I made from Lagos to Ilorin throughout my secondary school and University days, I remember so many trip I have made from Lagos to different part of this country during this period and all I can say is LORD I'm grateful.

I
was also involved in a car accident early this month, cars were badly
damaged but God preserved my soul and several others that was involved.
Father I returned all the glory to you.
I want to thank every body that send their wishes, I really appreciate every single one of you, God bless you real good, you beat by imagination and you made my day so special. May we always have cause to celebrate in Jesus Name.
Friends God is not done with us yet he is carefully working through us to make all things new.
Thanks once again, I love you all.

Change is just Permanent

"Change is the only permanent thing in life. The knowledge and skills and yesterday might just be obsolete to solve the challenges of tomorrow. Change is dynamic so we have to be too." Olumytee
3 Ways Successful People Manage Their Time
IMAGE: Getty Images
I
once worked with a team where the guy who was always "the busiest" got
the least amount done. That's because he spent more time managing his personal distractions
than actually completing his work. He was certainly talented and had
the skills to do the job, but had no idea how to manage his time. You
may know someone like this, or identify with him yourself.
We are not always at our best and sometimes times are tough. But the reality is that everyone has the same number of hours available to them in a day. Yet some people are able to accomplish so much more in one day than everyone else.
It can be frustrating. You try to gain control of your schedule each day, but time gets away from you, and you do not get everything done that you want to achieve. You wonder -- what are you doing wrong, and what are the others doing right? Stop and take a deep breath.
Those exceptional folks are not so different from you. They have simply come to realize the value of their time, and they make the best use of it. They know that their time is finite, and they work to protect it. How? By taking a strategic approach to managing it.
So, if you are ready to change your ways and start making the most of your time, here is how you can manage it more effectively.
Once you recognize your top priorities, other minor pursuits will fade in importance. Some activities will need to fall off your schedule, as you learn to say, "No, that is not a priority for me right now." But that is perfectly OK.
Successful people may not have every day scheduled to the minute. But they do have an overall plan for how they will spend it before the day begins. They let that plan determine the course of their day, and then make incremental progress toward their goals (and ultimately, future success).
So, write down your goals and keep them in front of you -- and then hold yourself accountable to achieve them. If you do not get to everything, don't beat yourself up, but return your focus to your goals the next day.
Exceptional people can tell the difference -- they can pick out what is most important, and politely and firmly shut out the rest. They respond with a sense of urgency when necessary, but then quickly get back on track with what they want to achieve. Learning to sort out what is most essential is key to effectively managing your time.
Once you start taking a strategic approach to managing your time, you will notice a big difference in how you feel at the end of the day. Instead of frustration and regret, you will be proud for how much you have accomplished.

So, if you are ready to change your ways and start making the most of your time, here is how you can manage it more effectively.
1. Identify what matters most.
Many things will compete for your attention in a single day, but you must first know what is most worthy of your time before deciding how to spend it. Think about what is most important in your life. Are you devoting enough time to those things that matter?Once you recognize your top priorities, other minor pursuits will fade in importance. Some activities will need to fall off your schedule, as you learn to say, "No, that is not a priority for me right now." But that is perfectly OK.
2. Set aggressive goals.
It is easy to let the events of a day determine how you will spend your time -- and before you know it, an entire day has passed and you have not accomplished anything of value. But people who effectively manage their time establish goals for what they intend to accomplish -- and they stick to them.Successful people may not have every day scheduled to the minute. 3. Ignore the noise.
Distractions will happen, and they can derail even your best-laid plans. Many times these interruptions will be trivial matters, but some may require your immediate attention.Exceptional people can tell the difference -- they can pick out what is most important, and politely and firmly shut out the rest. 365 Days Already
Three-Six-Five days has passed already without you been around, it still looks like a dream I can't believe you have passed on to the great beyond on the Lord's. Every night I go to bed, your thought always flash through my mind and it's always as if I'm going to see you at the break of dawn but then the reality set in, the pictures of your last moments on this earth comes to my mind which always leave me contemplating about your demise.
I must confess that the past 365 days without you have not been so easy at all, the jokes we cracked the laughter we share and the numerous one on one talk we had.
We (KOMAT) are really proud of you, we thank you for your sacrifice, for making sure that we all grow into adulthood in excellence, it's a great sacrifice. For the past few days, I have recalled one of your numerous sacrifices to my mind.
I remember vividly, I gained admission to the university after 4 attempt without success, we were all very happy about it, I will be resuming soon we all thought but then there was no fund to pay for school fees, you took the reproach and had to borrow in order for me to to pay my school fees because of of your love, sacrifice and value for education, you invested greatly in us by ensuring that everyone of us graduated from the tertiary institution. Who know what would have happen if the admission had slipped away from me?.
As I look back in retrospect, the words you said to me as you handed over the cash to me "mo omo eni ti iwo n se” (know the son of whom you are), things are really hard". These words really serve as a compass for me throughout my undergraduate days and each time I tend to straw away, it brought me back to the right path.
In the last three hundred and sixty five days, I have encouraged myself greatly in the Lord and I have had to encourage my mum and my siblings too. We love you, we miss you more even as the memory is so fresh as if it was yesterday but we know God has greater plan for us. There was a word Someone said to me during those trying period which I have also revamped and I share it now "your Dad is not dead but called to glory to reign with Christ forever".
Reign with Christ Dad.
