Truly 'Dia Ris' God
I'm also guilty.
I think there is no better way to
start this write up than the first three words above, I remember just a few
weeks ago when the first lady of our beloved country had a meeting with some
representatives of the Government Secondary School in Chibok and then she made
some statements which got a lot of people in every corner of the country to
show their dental formula which includes me.
But when I was in church last
week and we were about to pray for our beloved country when my attention was
drawn to the fact that she is the only person who had actually come out
publicly to declare that "There is God".
Truly there is God in the
situation of Nigeria because some nations didn't even the challenges this
nation is going through at the moment before there were in a state of disarray
or even no more, the results are all around us today.
Like the book of 1 Timothy 2:1-2
says "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and
[for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in
all godliness and honesty". I know what a you will be thinking at this
point, 'all this people and their prayers' will prayers really solve Nigeria's
problem but the Bible in 2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare
[are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
If prayer doesn't solve the problem, the cheap talk, back biting and the hash
tags alone also won’t solve the problem either, 1 Corinthians 1:27 says "
God chose the foolish/weak things of this world to shame the wise". As a
matter of fact prayer is one unique factor that has still be speaking for this
country till this very moment.
Folks, this country hasn't face
the challenges she is experiencing at this present moment but we all can do
more than more for her in the place of positive declarations, good deeds, acts
and also show a little more respect to the president.

God Preserves
I want to share this piece with you all, just like the book of Revelation 12:11 says I want to share a super miracle that God did in my life, I know what you are thinking, let me clear your doubt, this is not one of those dramatic narration but it is straight from the heart.
The testimony of the gift of life can not be over emphasized because every other testimonies holds their root in it,I tell you there are some miracles that we forget to notice and those miracles such as waking up to see the brightness of another day, yeah I said it because not everybody that sleep in the night wakes up in the morning, provision, guidance, protection, etc. Under guidance and protection we have the the near misses, the accident that was suppose to happen and didn't happen and the list go on and on. However, my main focus will be that of the accident that didn't happen. Early this year I was on a trip to the south eastern part of the country by air, the flight was smooth and every thing was OK until we were about seven minutes from landing and then the turbulence began, we lost one of the engine of the aircraft, all the passengers aboard felt this impact because for a moment the aircraft lost its balance, we descended rapidly (as if something was falling) before the pilot managed to get the balance once again, at this moment we were left with the alternative engine, immediately there was silence in the cabin and everyone was looking as though we were waiting in the reception room of an hospital for doctor to break a good news of our labouring wives in the emergency room or like someone waiting for the result of an HIV test but this was much more than that because at this point what occupied everyone mind was that the remaining engine should take us to our destination.
The pilot in the meantime had declared may day, the emergency team were on ground in their numbers, the ambulance was in place, the fire fighters and other things that would be needed to attend to a crash but thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). Eventually we arrived at the airport amidst all the turmoil, turbulence & panic. We landed safely as if nothing went wrong, everyone was in shock but we all still found a way to say "thank God" with our mouth from the depth of our heart. A month after this event I was also in a vehicle, we were on the express way, on full speed, the break failed and the driver was still able to control the vehicle, bring it to safe place till we got help.
The moral of this for me is that we have to always give God thanks (1 Thess 5:18), for the small things, for the big things, for the woes you see, the ones you did not see, for the accidents that happen and you survived, the ones that didn't happen and you knew it was suppose to happen and the greatest of all is the one that didn't happen and you were not even aware of it, I call it "victory over unseen battles".
Why don't you just thank God for the gift of life today, yes you may not have all the things you want but God always provide your needs (Phil 4:19). If you are breathing, there still a lot to be achieved in your life time. Eccl 9:4-5

Greatest Miracle of 2013
***Forgive
me guys I wrote this in December 2013, but some misplaced priorities is
making it show up now, I still feel like sharing it anyway***.
Hello Guys, As the year is gradually coming to a wonderful end I know we
all have ups and downs, high and low moments this year, no matter how
down or low you might be at the moment, as long as you are reading this
God is definitely faithful to you.
Well if God is to charge each
and every one of us for the oxygen we breathe in, am sure our bank
account would have been red or better still most of us will not be alive
by now or if God should charge us per seconds (just like the Telecoms
company) for the words that come out of our mouth, most of us probably
would just be acting like deaf and dumb because we would have
accumulated so much bill. Maybe you are thinking that you fail to
acquire the latest sports car in town, remember some folks don't even
have the cash to purchase Volkswagen beetle (or to buy a new shoe). You
might complain about your present job, but remember some folks you
graduated together that are even far better than you don't even have a
job. You might not have found the bone of your bone, don't have enough
savings and list goes on and on but remember it is because you are alive
that you have plans for your life, if you are not alive to see this
present moment definitely all the plans may as well go into the drain.
The Bible says there is hope for the person that is join to the living, a
living dog is better than a dead lion. Common cheer up, you are an
achiever, think deep and you will be able to see what God has done for
you
Not to bore you too much with my talk, the purpose of opening
this thread is for us to share what God has done in this past year
2013, for me I made a lot of travels he say me through, wrote and passed
couple of exams, and so many other numerous things that I cant really
say for now He's been very faithful.
But one wow moment I will
never forget was when hot groundnut oil splashed on the whole of my
right fingers when I was to fry plantain in my house. I had sliced the
plantain and put the vegetable oil on fire (waiting for the oil to
bleach), I went back to the room and I was browsing on ma phone, by the
time I went back to the kitchen, there was smoke every where as the oil
was above its boiling point. I was so much in a hurry that I used my
bare hand (I forgot that it wasn't rice I was trying to prepare) to put
the plantain into the fry pan (containing hot vegetable oil). I shouted
JESUS!!! the pain was so sore but there was no one to comfort me, I ran
to the bathroom and try to calm down the effect with cold water then I
went to the room to try apply some cream on my hand but I didn't see one
on time but I did saw an anointing oil (from church) in my wardrobe and
I pour it in large quantity on my hand instead. I felt the burning pain
throughout the night but miracle was perfected when I woke up in the
morning and it was as if nothing happen to the fingers.
I
already shared the testimony with my brethren, I just thought I share
with you guys, let's count our blessings and what's your own greatest
miracle of 2013.
