The Greatest Opportunity

Every human on the surface of the earth have dreams, goals and targets which they have set for themselves in the area of finance, academics, physical fitness, spiritual life etc

Majority of these people often obsessed with their goals hold it very close to their heart waiting for a minor break to latch on and convert it to a bigger one or better still grab the bigger breaks as soon as it surface.

In the opening chapters of his book Outliers, Malcom Gladwell talked about the existence of some successful persons on earth at a given period of time. Example of these group of people are the young boys drafted by the Canadian hockey team who met the eligibility cut off age and went on to become great sports icon. Another example used was that of the great men that grabbed the opportunity during the industrial revolution in the united states of America (Carnegie, Rockefeller etc) and the computer gurus of the dotcom boom (Gates, Allen, Joy, Jobs etc).

All these story may be fascinating. However, there is even one more ultimate opportunity that every human on earth should grab with both hands and that is knowing Christ as the Lord and the messiah (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). In his book, The Purpose Driven Life Pastor Rick Warren pointed out that we are here on earth for fellowship with God, to show forth His praise (1 Peter 2:9), to prepare for eternity, how time on earth will only be a tiny fraction compared to what eternity holds.

So why we all have our daily goals to our breakthroughs close to our heart, trying to acquire great wealth or trying a to build a legacy that will last long even after our exit form this earth. The starting point to the attainment of all these lasting legacies lies in the greatest opportunity (Matthew 6:33). So why don't you seek him today (John 3:3) because every other opportunity you can ever think of is fully embedded in the greatest opportunity (Colossians 1:17).
