I want to share this piece with you all, just like the book of Revelation 12:11 says I want to share a super miracle that God did in my life, I know what you are thinking, let me clear your doubt, this is not one of those dramatic narration but it is straight from the heart.
The testimony of the gift of life can not be over emphasized because every other testimonies holds their root in it,I tell you there are some miracles that we forget to notice and those miracles such as waking up to see the brightness of another day, yeah I said it because not everybody that sleep in the night wakes up in the morning, provision, guidance, protection, etc. Under guidance and protection we have the the near misses, the accident that was suppose to happen and didn't happen and the list go on and on. However, my main focus will be that of the accident that didn't happen. Early this year I was on a trip to the south eastern part of the country by air, the flight was smooth and every thing was OK until we were about seven minutes from landing and then the turbulence began, we lost one of the engine of the aircraft, all the passengers aboard felt this impact because for a moment the aircraft lost its balance, we descended rapidly (as if something was falling) before the pilot managed to get the balance once again, at this moment we were left with the alternative engine, immediately there was silence in the cabin and everyone was looking as though we were waiting in the reception room of an hospital for doctor to break a good news of our labouring wives in the emergency room or like someone waiting for the result of an HIV test but this was much more than that because at this point what occupied everyone mind was that the remaining engine should take us to our destination.
The pilot in the meantime had declared may day, the emergency team were on ground in their numbers, the ambulance was in place, the fire fighters and other things that would be needed to attend to a crash but thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). Eventually we arrived at the airport amidst all the turmoil, turbulence & panic. We landed safely as if nothing went wrong, everyone was in shock but we all still found a way to say "thank God" with our mouth from the depth of our heart. A month after this event I was also in a vehicle, we were on the express way, on full speed, the break failed and the driver was still able to control the vehicle, bring it to safe place till we got help.
The moral of this for me is that we have to always give God thanks (1 Thess 5:18), for the small things, for the big things, for the woes you see, the ones you did not see, for the accidents that happen and you survived, the ones that didn't happen and you knew it was suppose to happen and the greatest of all is the one that didn't happen and you were not even aware of it, I call it "victory over unseen battles".
Why don't you just thank God for the gift of life today, yes you may not have all the things you want but God always provide your needs (Phil 4:19). If you are breathing, there still a lot to be achieved in your life time. Eccl 9:4-5
